BLEND Leren / Mentally disabled people’s sexuality

A project I did with BLEND Leren for a Dutch organisation for intellectually and developmentally disabled people.* These illustrations have been used in study material for professionals who work with these clients, and offers a variety of case studies where sexuality plays a role, in the client’s private life or in their interactions with the professional.
The case studies are real stories, but for privacy reasons, my portraits are of fictional people.

*I am aware that there is some discourse around disability terminology. My reason for choosing “disabled people” as opposed to “people with disabilities” is that the former is the preference of the majority of disabled people I have heard from on this subject.
