Illustration Embassy presents: 15 years of FWF

The Fiep Westendorp Foundation is an organization that, in the name of one of the Netherlands’ most beloved children’s books illustrators, supports illustrators who are just starting their career. In 2011, I was one of the lucky young illustrators to win the Fiep Westendorp Stimuleringsprijs. It enabled me to become a fulltime illustrator directly out of art school, something I am grateful for to this day. The FWF also makes me part of a group of talented illustrators who have won this prize over the years, and now, all of us will be showing our work in Amsterdam for the 15 Years of Fiep Westendorp Stimuleringsprijs event, organized by The Illustration Embassy.

When: June 4 - June 20 2022
Festive opening: June 4th, 15.30 (unfortunately I can’t be there myself on this day)
Where: Illustratie Ambassade. Meterhuis, Pazzanistraat 6, Amsterdam
Opening hours: Wed / Thurs / Fri / Sat / Sun 12.00-18.00

”Graag nodigen we je uit om op 4 juni om 15.30 uur bij de feestelijke opening van 15 jaar Fiep Westendorp Stimuleringsprijs aanwezig te zijn.

Om het glas te heffen en samen te kijken naar wat dit waardevolle initiatief van Fiep Westendorp in gang heeft gezet!

Een tentoonstelling ter ere van de ontwikkelbijdrage voor jong kunstzinnig illustratietalent!

In de expositie is recent werk te zien van de winnaars van de afgelopen 15 jaar!
